Nice Truck - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Compunerd - June 25 - 10:00 amThis F-150 has been a very solid vehicle for me. After the disaster that was my 1999 Olds Bravada the simplicity was a welcome change. Though I have only put about 10000 miles on it, I have not had even a minor mechanical glitch at this point. With current incentives, it cost less than my old SUV did USED. I think this will be a reliable truck for years to come. The Super Cab is not very roomy but can hold an average sized adult male on shorter trips (under a couple of hours). The back "doors" help with getting passengers into and out of the back. The ride is fairly smooth for a truck and it gets better milage than expected.

Average Truck - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By JF-MO - April 25 - 11:10 amReplaced 1995 Dodge Ram 4X4 with this truck. I have to admit that I wish I would have paid a little more attention to the competition (especially Toyota and Dodge). However, this truck was priced so much better than the competition, so it was a no-brainer. For what is expected, the truck performs fine. The interior panels are starting to rattle at 18,000 miles. This is aggravating since I have never taken the truck off-road! I have to say that the ride is exceptional compared to my old Dodge. All in all, this is a good truck for moderate hauling, getting through snow, etc. Average truck - I got what I paid for.

One of the Best! - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Derek in OKC - February 16 - 1:16 pmI have owned this truck a little while now and it has been nothing but a blessing! The overall quality vs. the money paid in incomparable. Out does Chevy and Dodge on base model pickups. Highly recommend.

3rd F150 Since 2000 - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By woodlandcircle - November 25 - 10:00 amMy first F150 was an XLT model, fully loaded, after an accident my replacement F150 was the same. Last year I purchased a 2003 Taurus, but couldnt stand being without a truck, So I jumped at the chanced to get a 2004 Heritage with all the rebates. Although this is an XL model I am getting used to crank windows and no tilt steering. Other than that, It is a refined version of the earlier models with a better ride and quieter interior. And you just cant beat the deal. $12,000 after rebates. It figures, Ford gets it right, then quits making it!

Unbelievable Reliability - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Big John - June 30 - 2:26 amI cant say enough about this truck. I bought new in 7/04 and now have 58,000m, and as of 4/09, I had a blinker lightbulb go out. THATs IT FOR REPAIRS!!!! I changed tires and redid the brakes as was necessary due to wear and tear, but otherwise...not a single problem (other than a lightbulb) in almost 60,000 miles. Not even a squeek problem. If you can find this as a used truck, I would GO FOR IT. I long hauled my boat and at other times my trailer, and had NO PROBLEMS towing them over mountains etc. More than enough power on my 4.6L Triton V-8. Who needs the bigger V-8? Not me!!! One of the few truely quality items I have ever had the joy to own in my entire lifetime. (Im 56).

6Cyl Auto - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Mobile Detailer - September 5 - 10:00 amI bought this truck specifically for pulling my work trailer. At around 3500 pounds w/ 2 tanks of water, the trailer was a bit much for my 3.0 6 Cyl. Ranger. The F150 Heritage and its torquey V6 pulls it with no problems. Towing on the highway ia a breeze. The 4 wheel ABS Disc Brakes work great, even with the weight. Great affordability and hey...Its a Ford.
